Leah's Law members
Kelly, Melinda,
and Sharon went to Minneapolis to do an interview with FOX news
that will air in May, 2007. We will keep you posted as to WHEN.
February 26 - 28, 2007 - Leah's Law members will attend
Superior Days in Madison, Wisconsin to petition
for a repetative violent offender registry and database in
Wisconsin.
Wednesday, January 10, 2007 - Jason Borelli,
Leah's convicted killer was sentenced to LIFE IN PRISON without
the possibility of parole.
Tuesday, January 9, 2007 - Leah's Law members
attended the State Of The City address along with Mayor Ross in
Superior where he recognized our group as a key issue for
Wisconsin that will be represented in Madison for Superior Days.
Sunday, January 7, 2007 -
January 7th marked the one year anniversary of Leah's brutal
murder. This year has been especially hard for the people who
loved Leah, and January 7th changed our lives forever.
Monday, October 30th, 2006 -
Jason Borelli, Leah's accused murder, stood
trail for Leah's murder. The trial began on October 30th in the
Superior Court House. Jason Borelli was convicted of first degree intentional
homicide and Leah's family and friends were able to finally
rejoice that he will not be able to victimize
another family
or another community.
Saturday, September 16th, 2006 - Leah's Law
members hosted another rummage sale in East End Superior on
September 16th.
Monday, September 18th, 2006 - The members of
Leah's Law will be met with Wisconsin Congressman Dave Obey's assistant.
Sunday, August 30th, 2006 - Denise and Mary
traveled to Minneapolis to have an interview done with Sue from WCCO News Station.

Parrot attended the Clearwater County Fair in
Bagley, MN to gather signatures of Minnesotans.
Tuesday, July 25th -
Sunday, July 30th, 2006 - Leah's Law Members
Melinda, Parrot, Mary, and Kelly worked for four days (well Mary
just for Sunday) to gather signatures at the Superior Head Of The Lakes Fair from Tuesday, July 25th through Sunday, July 30th.
We estimate at least three hundred signatures were gathered, as
well as a few t-shirts/car banners sold, and other donations
made.
Thursday, July 20, 2006 - Leah's Law Members
Melinda and Mary were interviewed for the Eau Claire based
newspaper the Leader Telegram, regarding Leah's Law.
Monday, July 16, 2006 - Leah's Law Members and
Leah's parents met with Superior's Mayor Ross and Representative Frank Boyle (WI) at the Mayor's office. The
meeting was more of a brainstorming possibility rather then
"press coverage" as we chose not to have press coverage. We
discussed the future of Leah's Law in Wisconsin and made an
active plan for how to go about lobbying and what we need to be
doing as a group to gain community support and make Leah's Law a
reality.
Thursday, July 13th, 2006 - Parrot, Melinda,
and Kelly (Leah's Law Members) traveled to Eau Claire, Wisconsin
and went door to door gathering signatures and support of local
residents and businesses. They were featured in a news clip on WEAU Eau Claire (NBC affiliate).
Sunday, July 9th, 2006 - Mary and Denise
(Leah's Law Members) traveled to Bloomington, Minnesota's Mall
Of America to gather signatures in support of Leah's Law.
Kristopher E. (volunteer) accompanied Mary and Denise on their
trip.
Tuesday, July 4th, 2006 - Leah's Law members
prepared a float for Superior's 4th of July parade, and marched
in the parade handing out informational packets to viewers along
the way.
Friday, June 9th,
2006 - Leah's Law members are hosted a rummage
sale to raise money for materials to make signature booklets and
traveling expenses.
Wednesday, June
7th, 2006 -Leah's Law members were interviewed
by a Wisconsin Christian Radio station WWJC 850 AM regarding Leah's Law. You can view

Monday, June 5th,
2006 - Melinda, Denise, and Kelly were
interviewed by KBJR Channel 5/6 and WDIO Channel 10/13 today
regarding our Leah's Law efforts. Read more information (and the
exact interviews) in our blog.
Monday, May 29th,
2006 - Melinda, Kelly, Denise, Mary, and
Nicole (along with Mayor Herb Bergson of Duluth and many
volunteers) were in the Duluth Memorial Day Parade on Mayor Herb
Bergson's float supporting LEAH'S LAW!
